Below are clips of works done in my spare time using UDK to demonstrate skills learned. Extensive use of Kismet, Matinee, Cascade, and the Material Editor were used to create these samples.

UDK Ability System - Part 1

Part 1 of an ability system created in UDK using Kismet and Matinee exclusively. Still a WIP. Missing is text in the upper left conveying which ability you have cued up as well as text shown after the last ability. The "Triple Cross" ability deals direct damage. The last ability deals Area of Effect damage to enemies and heals the player at the very end (missing text notifying player of heal at the end yet.)
UDK Ability System - Part 2

Part 2 of an ability system created in UDK using Kismet and Matinee exclusively. This shows a "shield" ability that encircles the player when activated. Cross shield collides with rigid body actors in the scene. Cross Shield also deals damage (not shown here) which is capable of killing enemies and destroying destructible walls.
UDK Turret

A WIP turret created in UDK using Kismet and Matinee. Video cuts out before I had a chance to capture it, but the top portion of the turret is destructible separate from the bottom portion (you can blow off the top while leaving the bottom in place).
UDK Secret Door

A simple "secret door" set piece created using UDK. Was created entirely using Kismet and Matinee.
UDK Custom Enemy
Year of Production: 2014
Running Time: 0:25 min
Custom enemy created using solely UDK Matinee & Kismet. Enemy patrols and deals damage to player when running into it. When shot, it animates, then explodes. Explosion can destroy nearby objects (in this case a wall.) Enemy also drops collectible item (at random) which is used as currency as part of player ability system.

Lost Planet 3 Weapons

The 9 guns of LP3 (and grenades). I was responsible for designing the parameters needed and tuning each weapon's performance.
Lost Planet 3 Pickups & UI

Video showing off the in-game UI I designed (hologram coming from hero's wrist) as well as the locations for 1 of each of the different pickups types I placed and scripted around the game world.
